Two martial arts rivals battle for control of a legendary wushu academy.

In the 1920s in Tianjin, a famous martial arts master dies. Unexpectedly, he passes the academy on to his most talented student, Qi Quan, rather than his son. This decision angers the master's son, Shen An, and a fierce confrontation begins between the two fighters. The conflict gradually engulfs the entire martial arts world of the city. The film combines Eastern philosophy, tradition, and honor with battle scenes.
