Jackie Robinson breaks baseball's racial barrier and changes the history of American sports.
In 1946, Brooklyn Dodgers general manager Branch Rickey makes a historic decision by signing Jackie Robinson, challenging the racial barrier that had long existed in Major League Baseball. Robinson enters professional baseball knowing that his talent will not be the only thing tested. He faces racism, insults and hostility from opponents, teammates, fans and even people within the sport.
