Patrick Bateman, a successful investment banker living in New York in the late 1980s, appears wealthy, attractive, and respectable on the outside. However, his inner world is filled with violence, hatred, and mental breakdown. He hides his true nature in his daily life, plunging into a vortex of increasingly dangerous fantasies and crimes. The film uses a sharp satire to show the culture of consumerism, the cult of wealth, superficiality, and the erosion of human values. The work leaves the viewer wondering whether the events that Patrick experiences are really happening or are the product of his sick mind.
