Young trainee teachers face their first real challenges in a school classroom.
A group of students from a teacher-training institute is sent to a school for practical training far from their usual academic environment. For the future teachers, this is their first real opportunity to work independently with students and face the challenges of a classroom without constant supervision from their professors. They quickly discover that knowing a subject is only part of being a good teacher. They must earn the trust of their pupils, understand their personalities and find ways to make lessons engaging. Their arrival gradually brings changes to the school’s familiar routines and encourages both students and experienced teachers to reconsider certain attitudes. Through their daily experiences, the young trainees gain valuable lessons about responsibility, patience and the human side of teaching.
