A private investigator uncovers a deadly political conspiracy while investigating the mayor's wife.

Former police officer Billy Taggart has rebuilt his life as a private investigator after being forced out of the police department. His new case comes from New York City mayor Nicholas Hostetler, who suspects that his wife is having an affair and wants Billy to investigate her. What appears to be a simple surveillance job quickly turns into something much more dangerous when Billy uncovers a connection to murder, corruption and a major political conspiracy. After realizing that the mayor has manipulated him, Billy decides to uncover the truth and expose the powerful people behind the scheme. His investigation soon puts his own life and reputation at risk.
