Famous animal trapper Vijay is gravely wounded by a lioness and is forced to reconsider his relationship with nature.

Vijay lives deep in the jungles of South India, trapping wild animals for zoos and circuses worldwide. Known as the "King of the Jungle," he falls in love with Nimmi and dreams of settling down. But when he takes a lioness's cubs, the enraged mother attacks and gravely wounds him. This turning point forces Vijay to rethink his life's work. The film became a major hit in Soviet cinema distribution upon its release.
