Children plan a dangerous experiment on a turtle, but Tanya tries to save her.

A turtle named Raketa is the favorite animal in a school nature corner. When Vova, the first-grade pupil responsible for taking care of her, is sent to the hospital, two classmates temporarily take over his duties. Instead of simply caring for the turtle, however, they begin conducting experiments to test her speed, endurance and ability to withstand weight. Their curiosity gradually turns into a dangerous plan when they decide to test the strength of Raketa's shell by placing her under the tracks of a tank. Their classmate Tanya refuses to stand by and watch the helpless animal get hurt. She calls on children and adults to help save the turtle and prevent the reckless experiment.
