A detective investigates murder while haunted by visions from the past.
In the Electric Mist tells the story of mysterious crimes that occur in the swamps of Louisiana. Experienced detective Dave Robichaud comes across traces of a murder committed many years ago. During the investigation, he encounters the famous gangster Baby Feet Balboni and other suspicious individuals. At the same time, he begins to see supernatural manifestations of a general from the Civil War era. The line between reality and fantasy becomes increasingly blurred. The film combines criminal investigation, psychological pressure and mystical elements, revealing the dark atmosphere of the American South. The story is based on the detective's attempt to uncover the connection between past and present events.
