Fantômas is a 1964 French–Italian crime comedy adventure film directed by André Hunebelle. The story centers on a mysterious and cunning criminal mastermind known as Fantômas, who uses a wide array of disguises and masks to conceal his identity and outwit law enforcement. Police Commissaire Paul Juve teams up with journalist Jérôme Fandor to try to capture him, but Fantômas continuously escapes through his clever tricks. The film is the first installment of a trilogy of movies featuring the character.
