Fargo is a 1996 crime drama with strong elements of dark comedy. The story takes place in the snowy landscapes of Minnesota and North Dakota. Jerry Lundegaard, a financially desperate car salesman, hires two criminals to kidnap his own wife in order to extort money from his wealthy father-in-law. However, the plan quickly spirals out of control, resulting in multiple murders.
