A disgraced detective investigates a murder and uncovers a dangerous conspiracy within the system.

Former narcotics detective Danny Gallagher loses his career and ends up in prison after a failed operation involving his partner. Once released, he is determined to rebuild his life and restore his reputation. Danny soon becomes involved in the investigation of a mysterious murder and discovers that the case is connected to a much larger conspiracy. His search for the truth leads him toward corrupt officials, intelligence operatives and powerful figures from his past. As the investigation becomes increasingly dangerous, Danny realizes that he cannot trust everyone around him. To uncover the truth and clear his name, he must expose the people behind the conspiracy before they can silence him.
