An innocent woman is trapped in a dangerous criminal conspiracy.

The film tells the story of a young Indian girl named Roshni. She goes to Hong Kong to meet her boyfriend Raj. But there she accidentally gets involved in a drug smuggling operation and is arrested by the police. The harsh prison conditions in a foreign country and the pressure of criminals turn Roshni's life into a nightmare. An experienced criminal named Jagan Nath helps her to save her. Throughout the film, themes of love, betrayal and the struggle for survival are revealed through dramatic events. Sridevi's emotional performance and Mahesh Bhatt's dramatic style made the film one of the popular Indian thrillers of the 1990s.
