A psychiatric nurse falls in love with the patient she is treating.

Radha, a nurse in a psychiatric hospital, takes part in an experimental therapy that requires her to emotionally support patients recovering from trauma. While helping a troubled patient named Tapash, she gradually falls in love with him. What begins as a professional responsibility turns into a painful emotional journey. The film is regarded as one of the classics of Bengali cinema and later inspired the Hindi film Khamoshi (1969)
