Russian Coffee is a 2012 historical drama film from South Korea directed by Chang Yun‑hyun, based on the novel Russian Coffee. The story is set in late 19th‑century Korea just before the Russo‑Japanese War. It follows the political intrigue surrounding King Gojong’s refuge at the Russian consulate, his newfound love for coffee, and the dangerous involvement of barista Tanya and her lover Ilyich in assassination plots and espionage.
