Shankar’s drinking threatens his love, his family and his chance at a better life.
Shankar lives in poverty with his widowed mother, making toys for a living. He loves Parvati, but his addiction to alcohol begins to destroy everything around him. When her family suddenly becomes wealthy, Shankar risks losing the woman he loves. Burdened by debt, he leaves for the city to work and rebuild his life.
