Retired agent Johnny English returns to stop a cyberattack threatening Britain.
After a cyberattack exposes the identities of every active undercover agent in Britain, the Secret Service is left without its usual field operatives. The government turns to retired agent Johnny English, an old-fashioned spy with very little understanding of modern technology. Together with his former partner Bough, English is sent to uncover the mastermind behind the attack and prevent a dangerous threat to Britain. Their investigation leads them toward technology billionaire Jason Volta, whose public image hides a potentially sinister agenda. English must navigate a world filled with smartphones, digital surveillance and advanced security systems while relying on methods from a completely different era of espionage. His lack of technological knowledge repeatedly creates ridiculous situations, but his determination keeps the mission moving forward.
