A boy sues his parents for bringing him into a life of poverty and suffering.
Directed by Nadine Labaki, the film follows twelve-year-old Zain, a boy living in extreme poverty in Beirut. After a series of heartbreaking events, he decides to sue his parents for bringing him into a life of suffering. While struggling to survive, he befriends an undocumented migrant woman and takes care of her infant son. The film is a powerful exploration of poverty, child neglect, migration, and the resilience of children facing impossible circumstances.
