A wealthy young man falls for a Kashmiri flower seller, but family secrets threaten their love.

Rajiv is a wealthy young man who travels to Kashmir to escape a marriage arranged by his family. There he meets Champa, a beautiful flower seller whose simple nature and charm immediately capture his heart. The two fall in love, but their relationship is complicated by differences in social status and family expectations. Rajiv comes from a privileged background, while Champa lives a much simpler life, making their romance difficult to accept. As Rajiv learns more about Champa and her family, he discovers a surprising truth about her background that changes the course of their relationship. Set against the beautiful landscapes of Kashmir, the film combines romance, comedy, music and family drama in the classic style of 1960s Hindi cinema.
