A military dog and a teenager uncover a dangerous secret while building a strong bond.

Max is a military service dog who served in Afghanistan and participated in special operations with his owner, Kyle Wincott. Kyle is killed during a combat mission, and Max suffers a severe psychological trauma. The military decides to discharge the dog, but Kyle's family takes him home. At first, Max cannot adapt to his new environment, but he gradually becomes close to Kyle's brother, Justin. They soon learn that there are hidden secrets behind Kyle's death. Together, Max and Justin try to uncover the truth about a dangerous crime. The film tells a touching story of loyalty, courage and friendship.
