A Marine trapped on a land mine in the desert must survive without moving until help arrives.

U.S. Marine sniper Mike Stevens is sent on a secret mission in North Africa with his spotter, Tommy Madison. When the operation goes wrong, the two men attempt to cross the desert, but Mike steps onto a land mine. He cannot move his foot without triggering the explosive device. Tommy leaves to find help, leaving Mike alone in the middle of a vast and hostile desert. With no reliable communication and little protection from the elements, Mike must endure extreme heat, dehydration, hunger and the threat of wild animals. At the same time, isolation begins to affect him psychologically, bringing painful memories and fears back to the surface. Forced to remain almost completely still for days, Mike must use every bit of his physical and mental strength to survive and maintain hope until help arrives.
