A betrayed sailor escapes prison and returns as a nobleman to seek revenge.

The film is based on the famous novel by Alexandre Dumas and tells the story of the life of a young sailor, Edmond Dantes. He is imprisoned on false charges and suffers for years in the Château d’If prison. There, he meets the wise Abbé Faria and learns the secrets of knowledge and wealth. After escaping, he creates a new identity as the Count of Monte Cristo and begins to take revenge on those who betrayed him. The film is enriched with a strong dramatic plot, adventure elements and psychological confrontations. This new interpretation revives the classic work in a modern cinematic style.
