Hackers attack the US, McClane fights to save the country.

The film is dedicated to the theme of modern cyberterrorism. John McClane accidentally teams up with a young hacker, Matt Farrell, to fight against a major criminal, Thomas Gabriel. The criminals plan to disrupt all computer systems in the United States through a plan called "fire sale", paralyzing transportation, electricity and communication systems. Although McClane does not understand technology well, he tries to stop this threat with his experience and courage. They go through various dangerous situations and try to save the country from a major disaster. The film combines modern technology and classic militant elements.
