Uncle Fyodor, Matroskin and Sharik settle in Prostokvashino and begin their new life together.
Uncle Fyodor is a young boy who loves animals, but his parents refuse to let him keep the talking cat Matroskin at home. Determined to stay with his new friend, Fyodor leaves home and travels to the countryside with the cat. Along the way, they meet Sharik, a friendly dog who joins them. The three friends settle in an abandoned house in the village of Prostokvashino and begin building a new life together. Matroskin proves to be practical and interested in running the household, while Sharik dreams about hunting and enjoying village life. Uncle Fyodor takes care of his companions and helps organize their new home. Meanwhile, his parents become worried and start searching for him. Their journey marks the beginning of the beloved adventures of the Prostokvashino trio.
