A devoted husband plots to break his wrongfully imprisoned wife out of jail.
A quiet family breakfast. A husband and wife are feeding their young son and discussing plans for the day. Lisa complains about her boss, and Julien, a French teacher, advises her to consider changing jobs. Their peaceful morning is interrupted by a knock at the door. The police burst into the apartment and arrest Lisa on suspicion of murdering her boss. The next three years pass in a series of trials and appeals. But all efforts are in vain — the evidence is too strong. The victim’s blood is found on Lisa’s clothes, her fingerprints are on the murder weapon, and witnesses claim they saw her at the crime scene. Moreover, her hostile relationship with the victim was widely known. Nevertheless, one of the flashbacks makes it clear that the woman is innocent. However, the final appeal is rejected, and the sentence is harsh — 20 years in prison. In despair, Lisa attempts to take her own life. At that moment, Julien decides, no matter what, to save the woman he loves and organize her escape.
