A hotel manager saves refugees during the Rwandan genocide.
The film is based on the events of the genocide that took place in Rwanda in 1994. Hotel manager Paul Rusesabagaina, although an ordinary person, tries to protect thousands of innocent people during the outbreak of violence. He hides more than 1,000 Tutsis and moderate Hutus in his hotel, saving them from massacre. At the same time, the indifference of the international community and political problems are also revealed.
