Two lovers fight family hatred and revenge to stay together.

“Sanam Bewafa” is an Indian melodrama depicting a story of love and revenge between two enemy tribes. The families of Sher Khan and Fateh Khan have been living in enmity with each other for many years. Fateh Khan’s son Salman and Sher Khan’s daughter Rukhsar fall in love with each other. But old grudges and hatred between the families prevent their happiness. The young lovers go through great trials to save their love. The themes of honor, family traditions and forgiveness are central to the film. Strong dramatic events, Hindi songs and emotional scenes made the film one of the popular melodramas of the 1990s.
