Teenager Alan joins Vic and a group of boys on a mountain trip that soon turns into a dangerous test of courage.

An adult Alan recalls the summer when he joined a group of teenagers led by the young instructor Vic. What begins as a romantic mountain adventure soon becomes a difficult test as the boys face wild rivers, dangerous crossings, fear and the challenges of growing up.
