Tiny blue Smurfs fall into New York while escaping wizard Gargamel and must find a way back home.

The Smurfs is an adventure and comedy film based on the popular comic book characters. The story is about the little blue creatures - the Smurfs, who live peacefully in their magical village. The evil wizard Gargamel tries to capture them. During the chase, the Smurfs pass through a magical portal and accidentally end up in the human world - New York City. There, they meet a couple named Patrick and Grace Winslow and are forced to live in hiding. At the same time, the Smurfs try to find a way back to their village. Gargamel continues to search the city to find them. The film shows the ideas of friendship, courage and helping each other through funny stories.
