A lonely policeman struggles between finding love and caring for his mother.

Chicago police officer Danny Muldoon has spent most of his life caring for his strong-willed mother, Rose, while struggling to find love and independence. His world changes when he meets Theresa, a kind and shy funeral home worker who gives him a chance at romance and happiness. However, Danny's mother finds it difficult to accept the changes in her son's life and tries to hold on to their close relationship. Torn between family responsibility and his own dreams, Danny must learn to make his own choices. The film is a heartfelt romantic comedy about love, loneliness, and family bonds.
