During the Siege of Leningrad, an orphan girl saves an abandoned boy and protects him as her brother.
In the harsh winter of 1942, hunger and cold in besieged Leningrad put people to a severe test. Nina Voronova, losing hope of survival, abandons her young son during the evacuation of the city. Katya Nikonorova, an orphan living in a neighboring house, finds the boy and tries to protect him, introducing him as her brother. Amidst the bombings, famine and the horrors of war, Katya shows great courage to protect the boy. The film impressively illuminates the humanity, compassion, selflessness and resilience of ordinary people during wartime. The work is based on the story "The Seventh Symphony" by Tamara Tsinberg.
