A Soviet tank crew plots a daring escape from German captivity using a legendary T-34.

T-34 tells the story of Junior Lieutenant Nikolay Ivushkin during World War II on the Eastern Front. After being wounded and captured by German forces in late 1941, he and his crew are imprisoned. In 1944 the Germans force him to train tank crews using a legendary Soviet T-34 tank. Instead, Ivushkin recruits fellow prisoners to help him plot a daring escape. As they steal the half-destroyed T-34 back from the German training ground, they face fierce battles, risking everything for freedom and survival. The film combines intense tank combat, personal heroism, camaraderie, and the spirit of resistance against overwhelming odds in a dramatic war narrative.
