A single slap triggers a social and moral crisis.
The mini-series "The Slap" begins with a small incident that occurred during an ordinary family picnic. A man slaps a stranger's child in order to discipline him, and this incident causes a major conflict in the entire community. Each episode shows the story from the perspectives of different characters: family relationships, friendship, views on morality and justice clash. The incident gradually turns into a trial, causing the division of society into two opposing camps. The series reveals the themes of human error, anger, forgiveness and social pressure in a deeply psychological way. Each character is faced with the consequences of his decision.
