Giant robots battle sea monsters to save humanity.

Pacific Rim is a science fiction action film set in the near future, where gigantic alien monsters known as Kaiju emerge from a portal beneath the Pacific Ocean and begin destroying major cities. To combat the threat, humanity builds massive robotic machines called Jaegers, controlled by two pilots whose minds are linked through a neural connection. Former pilot Raleigh Becket returns to service and teams up with trainee Mako Mori to operate a legendary Jaeger in a desperate attempt to save humanity. The film features epic battles, large-scale destruction, and themes of sacrifice, teamwork, and resilience in the face of extinction.
