Lew, a man with a troubled past, accidentally overhears a couple planning to kidnap a wealthy woman for ransom. Seeing a chance to make easy money, he decides to get to the victim first and blackmail the real criminals. But Lew's carefully crafted scheme soon spirals out of control, placing him in a dangerous game where no one can be trusted.
