FBI official Mark Felt secretly helps journalists uncover the Watergate scandal.

Mark Felt is a senior FBI official who becomes deeply involved in the events surrounding the Watergate scandal of the 1970s. As political pressure grows and attempts are made to control information about the investigation, Felt secretly provides journalists Bob Woodward and Carl Bernstein with information that helps them uncover the scandal. Working anonymously, he becomes known as “Deep Throat”, while his true identity remains a mystery for decades. The film focuses on Felt’s perspective from inside the government rather than on the journalists investigating the story from the outside. Alongside the political events, it explores the consequences of his secret actions for his career, his family and his personal life.
