Bazarbay’s family journeys from Afghanistan to Kazakhstan.

In Afghanistan, a Kazakh family led by Bazarbay has lived since fleeing the Red Terror in the 1930s. His son Saparkul, a former mujahideen fighter married to a local Pashtun woman, and his daughter, married to an Afghan man, have built their lives there. After many years, the family receives permission to return to Kazakhstan and decides to embark on a long journey.
