The series is set during the Greek occupation of İzmir. While Turkish army captain Cevdet fights on the front lines, his wife Azize struggles to raise their three children and protect the family. The occupation changes their lives forever, but the return of the man they have long awaited brings hope. However, danger comes not only from the enemy but also from within, as Cevdet's closest friend, Captain Tevfik, consumed by jealousy and his secret love for Azize, will do anything to tear their family apart.
