Winnetou and Old Surehand battle a ruthless swindler known as the Oil Prince.

In the Wild West, a mysterious criminal, the "Oil King", who has established himself as a major oil tycoon, deceives people and forces them to invest in fake oil fields. He does not hesitate to murder, rob and cheat in order to gain wealth. Winnetou and his friend Old Surehand set out to expose the plans of this dangerous criminal. They fight to protect innocent settlers, find the real culprits and prevent new bloodshed. Along the way, they encounter many ambushes, armed clashes and dangerous adventures. The film is one of the most spectacular westerns in the famous Winnetou series, based on the works of Carl May.
