A writer mysteriously travels to 1920s Paris every midnight.
The film “Midnight in Paris” tells the story of writer Gil Pender. He travels to Paris with his girlfriend, but is dissatisfied with modern life and the people around him. One night, at midnight, he mysteriously finds himself in 1920s Paris. There, he meets Ernest Hemingway, Pablo Picasso, Salvador Dalí and other famous artists. Gil gradually realizes that excessive devotion to the past takes a person away from the present. The film combines themes of romance, philosophy and nostalgia in a light comedy style. Woody Allen has depicted the atmosphere of Paris in a very aesthetic and romantic way. The film encourages the viewer to think about art, time and true happiness.
