The film tells the story of a mysterious ring device found in ancient Egypt - the "stargate". Scientist Daniel Jackson unravels its secret and discovers that this device allows you to teleport to another planet. Together with a military group, he goes to an unknown planet and finds a society there that resembles the culture of ancient Egypt. The inhabitants of this planet are ruled by a powerful being named Ra, who considers himself a god. The heroes try to defeat him and free people. The film combines science fiction, historical elements and adventure, and in an interesting way shows the connection between humanity and the universe.
