An American doctor is drawn into his dictator family's deadly struggle for power.

Barry Al-Fayeed, an American pediatrician, returns with his family to his Middle Eastern homeland after two decades away. What begins as a visit for his nephew's wedding quickly changes when his father, the nation's longtime ruler, dies unexpectedly. Barry is pulled into a dangerous struggle for power involving political intrigue, family loyalty, betrayal, and armed conflict. As violence escalates, he must decide whether to protect his peaceful life in America or embrace the responsibilities and consequences of his family's legacy.
