Gamers must save Earth when aliens attack using classic video game characters.

Pixels is a science fiction action comedy film about aliens who misinterpret classic arcade game footage sent into space as a declaration of war. They attack Earth using giant versions of video game characters such as Pac-Man and Donkey Kong. To defend the planet, the U.S. president recruits former arcade champions to fight the aliens using their gaming skills. Sam Brenner and his friends must overcome their fears and work together to save humanity. The film combines action, humor, and nostalgia for classic video games while showing how ordinary people can become heroes in extraordinary situations.
