The film takes place in a post-apocalyptic world where mysterious creatures are forcing people to commit suicide. Seeing them is fatal, so the survivors are forced to cover their eyes. The story revolves around Sebastian and his daughter, who are struggling to survive in Barcelona. However, it soon becomes clear that Sebastian is not an ordinary survivor, but one of the people affected by the creatures. He poses a danger to the other survivors. The film explores themes of human psychology, fear and the search for salvation, and shows a new side of the Bird Box universe.
